Everyone is talking about how soft (beatable) the fields are in the Millionaire Maker. My experience yesterday didn't support that.
We don't mind tough decisions here and there, but it felt like our table was determined to make them tougher than a ribeye from Outback.
You have to fight fire with fire. In one hand, I opened QsJs from middle position and the BB, a wild and crazy Argentinian guy, called. The flop came Kd-7d-4c and we both checked. The turn was the Ks and he checked, I bet 1200, he raised to 3000, so I made it 8000 and took it down. His story made no sense!
Eventually, I was getting short. I opened a 20bb stack with AdQc and a different insane South American 3bet. I shoved with a hand I was fairly certain was good. Villain called with Ah5h and made a flush.
Played a bit of cash to try to change direction but that was a fail too.
Things will surely turn around, maybe even today. I'm back at it again with another Millionaire Maker flight!
The bankroll stands at $44,500.
Keep firing bullets....your talent will eventually be rewarded. Hopefully you run into more of these guys and they just stop getting so damn lucky!
